They don't look all that happy to have their picture taken do they? Guess they were annoyed to have their TV watching interrupted. We watch just a little too much TV in this household!

Kyle and I camping in the back yard. I wasn't sure what to expect and actually anticipated going back into the house in the early hours of the morning. Turned out he slept through the night and really enjoyed it. Next time we'll venture outside of the yard.

Well this is my first blog post ever! How exciting. I'm going to try and be good about updating this with our family news, well mostly about the kids, Paul's and my life don't change all that much! So my first post is going to be about Kyle learning to ride his bike without training wheels! A week before his 4th birthday, we took off the training wheels for good and Kyle went riding down the street all by himself with mommy holding the video camera and a tear in my eye, watching. We are so proud of our little guy. He loves the newfound freedom and rides down to the cul-de-sac frequently. Braydon loves to follow him on his balance bike, which he does pretty well on, although he's still quite slow.

Kyle celebrated his 4th birthday in Hilton Head with his 4 cousins in attendance and Grammy and Bopa and Ninny. We all had a nice time, and Kyle loved his beach-themed cake which was made by The French Bakery. Since turning 4, Kyle is trying to become more independent, he now dresses himself (although this did start slightly before turning 4) and is occasionally buckling himself into his carseat-which mommy is really encouraging both of these things!

Braydon is talking up a storm and learning new words everyday, he's putting adorable sentences together. He is quite the engineer and likes to take things apart and put them together again. Frequently, instead of riding his bike, he likes to get a wrench from daddy's workbench and "tighten" the screws on his bike! He loves playing with his Lego too. Braydon doesn't take no for an answer and jumps into whatever the big kids on the street are doing, he's very courageous and tough. He is full of energy and keeps mommy running all day long!

Well today is another gorgeous day in the South, so outside we will go!

Our First Post

Welcome to the Newnham Family blog!

In an effort to make it easier to post pictures and notify friends and family we have moved to blogger. Now of course there is a cost factor that was involved and as usual Paul is trying to save a few $$$'s. However he was a little late in doing so and has already incurred the cost of the old website for the year. So if you are nostalgic for the old site just go to http://www.kyleskubby.com for a reminder. automatic renewal has been turned off for that site so on 4/21/2012 it will be gone. Not too disappointed really as it was kind of a pain to update and all anyone wanted to see were pics that were stored elsewhere. No big deal really.
